Cahier voor Literatuurwetenschap

About the Journal

The Cahier voor Literatuurwetenschap (CLW) is the peer-reviewed journal of the Vlaamse Vereniging voor Algemene en Vergelijkende Literatuurwetenschap (Flemish Association for General and Comparative Literary Studies (VAL)). The CLW publishes contributions in the field of literary studies in the broadest sense of the term. Contributions cover a wide range of periods, national cultures, languages, and methods, or focus on general and comparative literary studies and translation research.

Each year, the CLW features a thematic dossier compiled by guest editors. Submissions outside the thematic dossier are also welcome. Additionally, the CLW includes two sections:

• In "Het veld" ("The Field"), the CLW provides space for concise presentations of (new) methodological and/or theoretical directions in literary studies.
• In "Plisa" (Platform for Literature and Society), attention is given to initiatives aimed at valorizing literary research for non-academic readers.
